In this course, we’ll focus on building your skills in the Piedmont or Country Blues style of picking.
This style of blues has always seemed snappy, upbeat and extremely melodic.
We’ll work our way through a skill-building example song in the Key of D called Morning Cup. Here’s a quick overview of what you’ll learn in this course:
- How to play alternating bass lines through chord changes
- How to keep the bass going while playing a simple melody
- How to embellish the melody using a few simple moves
Alternating bass can be tricky so take your time with the exercises presented at the beginning of the course to gain the muscle memory, accuracy and coordination that you’ll need to master this bass technique.
If you’re ready to learn a snappy little country blues ditty, let’s get started!
