Country Blues is a broad term covering much of the acoustic blues played in the early part of the 20th century whether Piedmont, Delta or Texas Blues.
One of my favorite Country Blues pickers, Blind Lemon Jefferson was a technical powerhouse. He was fast and idiosyncratic in his picking. A mix of skill that’s fun to listen to but very difficult to replicate.
In this course, we’ll expand your fingerpicking skills by studying a Country Blues arrangement in G that picks up a few elements of the Country Blues sound that Lemon helped shape.
In this course we’ll cover:
- How to expand your sound with brush-ups
- How to play fast licks by involving the thumb and index finger
- Why getting out of your comfort zone can help you improve
- How to play a 24 bar Country Blues arrangement
- Much More!
If you’re ready to dig in and start picking along with this Country Blues course, then let’s get started!
